Overturning Voters Will
To put it simply, Cindy voted with three other supervisors to overturn a three-time voter approved measure and disrespect the wishes of Placer County voters. Three years were wasted in negotiations with the Placer Deputy Sheriff Association regarding the formula used for salary increases that voters approved in 1976, 2002 & 2006. The BOS subsequently overturned what residents overwhelmingly wanted. Needless to say, this was very disturbing to many residents that the BOS would simply negate and nullify a voter approved measure!! More than the issue at hand, this is a bigger issue of Cindy voting to overturn the will of the people!!
